We already had published a couple of articles on the TVS Apache Hyper Edge. One of them discussed the launch of the Hyper Edge while the other took a look at the modifications done in Hyper Edge with respect to  earlier version. Let us now get a detailed review of the bike.

The new look bike has some cool graphic changes made in it. Moreover there are some additional features that make itself a part of the bike. These features did not exist in the regular version of the Apache RTR 160.

The designing of the bike and the styling have a bigger say in the new bike. There is the good looking black matte finish silencer for the bike. The racing GT stripes give the bike a real dashing look. It looks no less than a racing bike and the “racing GT stripes” suit the style perfectly.

The aerodynamic shape, the LED tail lamp are some of the other contributors to the eye-catching bike. The digital speedometer, the fuel gauge, the odometer, the battery indicator make up for more features of the bike. The low fuel indicator, the low oil indicator and the low battery indicator are some of the other rich features, the bike possesses.

However, it is not only the physical appearance of the bike that will set your eyes on it. There is a lot in the bike to look up to, performance-wise. The engine of the Hyper Edge comes in 4 stroke single cylinder air cooled format. The displacement of the bike is 159.7 cc. The maximum power the bike generates is of 15.2 Bhp at 8500 rpm, while the peak torque it produces is 13.1 Nm at 6000 rpm.

The fuel tank of the bike can hold a maximum of 16 liters of petrol. The bike provides a millage of around 42 kmpl in the city region while there is an increase of 10 kms on the highways. The lower millage in the city is very understandable due to the crowds and the weight of the heavy bike itself. The TVS Apache Hyper Edge weighs 136 kgs.

The top speed the bike can attain is 120 kmph. The five speed gearbox is a big plus for the bike as its correct use helps in getting the correct millage out of the bike. The pickup and acceleration of the Hyper Edge is extraordinary as it takes only 5.5 seconds to reach the 60 kmph mark.

No doubt, there has to be a disk brake for such a powerful machine. The 270 mm rear disk brake is a much needed feature that exists in the bike. The front brake, however, is 130 mm drum brake. Another feature of the safety is the suspension. Telescopic forks suspension works for the front, while the monotube inverted gas filled shocks takes care of the rear.

The length of the bike is 2020 mm, the height is 1050 mm and the width is 730 mm. the overall ground clearance is 180 mm – quite useful for a better control and comfort.

The bike comes in colors like sunset yellow and midnight black. The black color seems to be a favorite amongst the youth as it is one of the most widely used colors of the TVS Apache Hyper Edge. The black alloy wheels add to the beauty of the black colored bike.
